(Mason, OH) The city of Mason reports that at 3:09 a.m. Wednesday morning, firefighters in Mason responded to  Mason Estates Mobile Home Park at 1010 Reading Road for a report of a structure fire. Neighbors say they heard an explosion and saw smoke before the fire took over the home. Firefighters found one house trailer fully engulfed in flames. Two individuals who were inside the trailer managed to exit the structure and were transported to Bethesda North for injuries. A pet dog did not survive. The trailer was a total loss. Two trailers adjacent to the burning mobile home suffered significant exterior damage. One occupant of a neighboring trailer was transported to Children’s Liberty for medical evaluation. Seven people have been displaced by the fire. The Red Cross is assisting one family and another family is staying with family or friends. The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
