Forbes has released its list of the best and worst-paying jobs in the United States, and the most-obvious lesson is that if you want to make a lot of money, you should become a doctor.

The best-paying job is anesthesiologist with an average annual salary of $235,070.

Overall, nine of the ten best-paying jobs are types of doctors. The only non-doctor job in the top ten is CEO, which came in tenth.

The worst-paying job is fast-food clerk with an average annual salary of $18,870, about $9 per hour.
