Police are investigating an explosion in Ireland that may have gone off an hour early due to an unaccounted time change for Daylight Saving Time.

The bombing suspect was last seen fleeing from the scene in a taxi, bloodied and badly injured. Police believe the bomb detonated in his face.

The suspect allegedly placed explosives in an SUV. No one was was reported injured or killed.

"It would appear the bomber got his timing wrong," a police source said. "It could be the case where he didn't realize just how powerful the explosives would be."
