Former Dallas Cowboys player Deion Sanders has been fired from the charter school that he helped found.

Sanders was dismissed from his role as head football coach and part-time school operator of Prime Time Prep Academy after a confrontation with a fellow school employee.

Kevin Jefferson, an administrator of finance at the school, told Dallas Police that Sanders attacked him, grabbed him by the collar and shoved him against a wall. Sanders admits to the confrontation but denies injuring him.

In a series of tweets, Sanders claimed he was upset over the welfare of the school's students.
