House prices and lack of insurance are two reasons Florida is the most stressed-out state.

11.3 percent of Floridians are unemployed and 25.8 percent do not have health insurance. 

The remaining top 5 included:

  • Georgia, which has the longest working hours of any state in the top 10.
  • New Jersey, whose residents spend most of their money on their house income.
  • California, whose cost of living is only second to New Jersey.
  • Nevada, whose unemployment rate is 11.8 percent.
