Halloween always seems to make people more likely to believe in the paranormal, and a new survey shows large portions of Americans believe in ghosts, aliens and reincarnation.

Over half -- 57% -- believe in ghosts, and only 21% said they absolutely believe ghosts are not real. The rest are not sure.

Only 24% of the people who said they believe in ghosts are actually afraid of them.

If suvey respondents became a ghost, 28% would want to visit a family member, and 22% would haunt an ex.

The ghost people would most want to be haunted by is Abraham Lincoln. Marilyn Monroe was the second most popular.

Almost half -- 47% -- of Americans believe aliens from other planets are real.

Forty-three percent believe in reincarnation. Of that group, 18% believe they were an animal in a past life.
