According to police, a group of people scammed Walmart into giving them refunds on fake video games, and it involved intentionally vomiting on receipts.

The perpetrators allegedly resealed video-game boxes with counterfeit discs inside and vomited on an old Walmart receipt to obscure when and what they bought.

When returning the game to the store, they told the clerk about the vomit so the employee would not touch or examine the receipts, simply giving the refund.

The scam has worked in three cities. In each incident, the scammers got $264.83 in refunds.

Police have surveillance footage and are investigating.
