A new survey showed new insights on Americans' views on conspiracy theories.

More than half -- 54% -- believe it is easy to have a person killed and get away with it if you have enough money.

Thirty-six percent think the administration of President Barack Obama is secretly trying to take away Americans' guns.

Almost a third believe major sporting events like the NBA Finals and Super Bowl are sometimes rigged by referees and league officials to get better ratings.

With regard to political assassinations, 23% believe the United States government participated in killing figures like Martin Luther King, Jr. and Robert Kennedy. Twelve percent think the government helped kill entertainment figures with a "counterculture message" like John Lennon, Kurt Cobain, and Tupac Shakur.

Nineteen percent believe there is a secret society producing the country's political and financial leaders who only serve the interests of the rich elite.

Six percent believe the men in black are real and that there is a government organization that stops people from finding out about aliens living on Earth.
