3 Doors Down bassist Todd Harrell was arrested and charged with vehicular homicide Friday night.

Harrell allegedly hit a pickup truck with his vehicle, which then slammed into a guardrail before going down an embankment in Nashville, Tennessee.

The truck's driver was pronounced dead at a nearby medical facility.

Harrell suffered only minor injuries.

During the police investigation and questioning, he confessed to drinking hard cider and taking Lortab and Xanax. Later, police found Xanax, Oxycodone and Oxymorphone pills hidden in one of his socks.

Harrell was issued a $100,000 bond and given the additional charge of bringing controlled substances into a jail.
