It looks like Billy Corgan may be trying to expand his professional wrestling empire.
According to "Alternative Nation," sources say the Smashing Pumpkins frontman is "far along" in his talks to purchase TNA Wrestling. Corgan has reportedly "made a connection" with a wealthy individual who would help back the venture. The source claims it's a "done deal," although it's unclear exactly what portion the rocker will own.
Corgan already has his own wrestling promotion firm, Resistance Pro, which he opened back in 2011. But TNA would be a big addition. It's currently the second-largest professional wrestling league in the U.S. behind only WWE.
