"Kurt Cobain: The Musical" - it could happen.
Cobain's widow, Courtney Love, goes even further telling NME.com that if she finds the right team of writers, producers and directors, a Broadway musical about the late Nirvana frontman is "very likely to happen."
Love says if a musical does come to fruition it would have to be delivered through a story that hasn't been told before. She promises to work closely with an A-Team to create a project that reflects Cobain in the most "respected and honest way possible."
She says it's important for her daughter Frances Bean Cobain to see her father's legacy resurrected on stage. She also says she would be creating the production for the fans who have flooded her with fan mail and social media posts pushing for a musical.
This Saturday, April 5th marks the 20th anniversary of Kurt Cobain's death and next week his band, Nirvana, will be inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.
