Godsmack frontman Sully Erna issued an updated on the writing and recording sessions for the band's next album.

"Finished 11 songs in two weeks so far," Erna wrote.

Drummer Shannon Larkin followed up with a post on the band's website.

"We wrote a bunch of new songs in Florida while our new HQ was being built in New England," Larkin wrote. "Now here we are outside of Boston in a kick ass studio surrounded by Godsmack vibes and creating like maniacs!"

After taking off most of 2013, the band recently reconvened to begin working on a new album.
