Guns 'n' Roses and Joan Jett were among the headlining acts taking part in the Revolver Golden Gods Awards Wednesday night.
Alice Cooper presented the event's highest honor -- the Golden God Award -- to its first female recipient, Joan Jett. Cooper said Jett is more than deserving of the recognition.
"[Jett has] never compromised who she is," Cooper said, proclaiming she is "a rocker through and through."
Jett and her band the Blackhearts also performed at the ceremony along with Guns 'n' Roses, who took the stage with former bassist Duff McKagan. Click here to see their performance of "Paradise City."
Frontman Axl Rose was also honored with a lifetime-achievement award named after the late Ronnie James Dio.
The four-hour ceremony will be edited into a special to air on VH1 Classic on May 24.
