Mötley Crüe made the biggest announcement of their career today. The band is retiring, and are saying goodbye to their tremendous career (of over 30 years!) with an enormous final tour, featuring special guest Alice Cooper.

The announcement came at a press conference at Beacher's Madhouse Theatre in Hollywood, CA. All of the Mötley Crüe members, plus Alice Cooper, were in attendance to speak. The farewell tour will span over 60 dates, and tickets will go on sale as early as this Friday January 31st.

During the press conference, it was announced that tickets will be affordable for fans, in order to get as many of them out to the shows as possible. Some tickets will be priced as low as $15 to $20.

Alice Cooper said, "It's just so amazing to me that these young bands don't want to be Mötley Crüe." He continued, "What's more fun than what happened in the mid '80s? I think that era is going to come back, so don't put away your spandex yet!"

Cooper added, "They [Mötley Crüe] had all the flare, they had all the songs ... they understood what it was all about."
