Metal Injection interviewed Slipknot/Stone Sour singer Corey Taylor and asked about Slipknot's plans on recording new music.

"We are talking about getting together next year and putting some new music together," Taylor said. "Everybody's kind of getting some demos together right now. I've got about four or five songs that I'm working on. Joey's [Jordison, drums] got a ton of stuff. Clown's [percussion] got a bunch of stuff. Jim's [Root, guitar] got some stuff, Mick [Thomson, guitar] -- I mean, we all write, so it's gonna take a lot of time to kind of get the madness under control. But right now that's the plan -- to get together early next year and start throwing ideas at each other."
