UPDATED: Zakk Wylde's Home Endangered by California Wildfires

UPDATE: Zakk Wylde's wife Barbaranne Wylde said Wednesday night that the family's home is okay for the time being, but if the wind changes direction, they will again be at risk.

The guitarist canceled his other appearances for the week so he and Barbaranne could return to their family and evacuate if need be.

Zakk Wylde was in New York Tuesday doing press when he learned of the increasing risk to his family and home posed by wildfires raging in Southern California.

Wylde was playing a brief acoustic set at iHeartRadio's Dunkin Donuts Iced Coffee Lounge when someone asked him what his plans are for the weekend.

"Well, hopefully we're heading back home to California," Wylde responded, "and have a house to go to...at the rate [the wildfire is] going,".

Wylde just completed an interview at Q104.3 New York's "Out of the Box" with Jonathan Clarke when his wife Barbaranne Wylde began getting updates about the fire's progress.

"As long as we get the kids and the dogs out, it's all good," Zakk said.

Barbaranne Tweeted that afternoon, "Praying Mother Nature gives California a break. Hoping everyone stays safe & God Bless the firefighters."

Despite the scary situation at home, the Black Label Society frontman and Ozzy Osbourne guitarist didn't let news of the fire keep him from cracking jokes, talking to fans and taking photos.

Black Label Society's new album, Grimmest Hits, is available January 19. Get more info here
