DeNiro/Pacino/Pesci/Keitel/Scorsese:The Irishman!

Anticipation on this movie has been building for a lonnng time.

In the beginning, Paramount studios was in position to get behind it, but then backed out.

Netflix has jumped in behind what will be DeNiro's 9th film with Scorsese directing, and his third opposite Al Pacino. With Joe Pesci, Harvey Keitel, and more mob flick icon names swirled in, this will be really interesting to see come to life, despite the fact that it's been a complicated road, and an expensive one, with the budget recently inflating up to $125 million clams.

Anyway....DeNiro will play mob hitman Frank "The Irishman" Sheeran, who claimed on his deathbed to have killed Jimmy Hoffa.

Reports as recent as a few days ago show that there might be a legal battle over international distribution related to Netflix's acquisition, but I prefer to focus on the story, and what a great movie this is going to make, whether NF nails it or not.

Some view the Netflix route as a sign that the director stands to risk a box office bomb, and others see it as an opportunity for him to have that great director freedom that Netflix is becoming famous for extending.

I just think it's gonna be a badass movie, and I can't wait. So get it together, guys.

Oh, and here's some video from AMC's podcrew pondering it's whereabouts as far back as last spring, just to give you and idea of how much anticipation has been building.
