Dog Dies After A Flight Attendant Forces Owner To Put Dog In Overhead Bin

United Airlines has apologized for a flight attendant who forced owners to put their puppy in an overhead bin in a TSA approved carrier. It was a four hour flight from Houston to New York.

The dog was a black French bulldog that was barking during the flight. The flight attendant forced the owners to put the dog in an overhead bin. Once landed the owners discovered the dog had passed away.

United Airlines pet policy reads as follows:

A pet traveling in cabin must be carried in an approved hard-sided or  soft-sided kennel. The kennel must fit completely under the seat in  front of the customer and remain there at all times.

United Airlines has taken full responsibility for the tragedy.  Regardless that doesn't help the family much.
