Green Day to Return to iHeartRadio Music Festival Stage, Joins 2019 Lineup

Green Day 2019

On the heels of their "Hella Mega Tour" and new album announcement, and the release of their new single "Father of All...," Green Day will be returning to the iHeartRadio Music Festival stage alongside the previously-announced star-studded lineup.

Green Day last hit the iHeartRadio Music Festival stage in 2012 where the band's frontman, Billie Joe Armstrong, famously smashed a guitar on stage at the end of their set. Armstrong recently spoke to The Woody Show and in recalling the performance, he said, "I think that there's a lot of people in the rock genre and the problem with rock music is that people are trying to write the feel-good song of the year or something, and rock music is supposed to make you feel bad. And that was the intention of the last time at the [iHeartRadio Music Festival], for me, I was like, 'I want to make everyone feel bad.'"

This year's star-studded iHeartRadio Music Festival lineup also includes Alicia Keys, Backstreet Boys, Cage The Elephant, Camila Cabello, Chance The Rapper, Def Leppard, French Montana, Halsey, Heart, H.E.R., Hootie & the Blowfish, Miley Cyrus, Mumford & Sons, Steve Aoki with special guests Darren Criss and Monsta X, Tim McGraw, and Zac Brown Band. The legendary annual mega concert, which is in its 9th year, is hosted by Ryan Seacrest and will also feature one-of-a-kind on-stage collaborations and surprise performances. It all goes down on September 20th & 21st.

The best part is, even if you can't make it to Las Vegas this year, you'll be able to tune in and watch it all go down live. Fans across the country can tune in and watch an exclusive live stream of the show via The CW App and CWTV.com. Then, on October 2nd and 3rd, relive all of the epic performances from the weekend during a televised special on The CW Network at 8pm ET/PT. And leading up to the official television special, The CW will also air an hour-long Best Of Special on Sunday, September 29th at 8 p.m. ET/PT.

Fans can also listen to the 2019 iHeartRadio Music Festival during a live broadcast of the event via iHeartMedia Radio stations throughout the country across more then 150 markets, as well as the iHeartRadio app.

While this incredible lineup hits the stage at T-Mobile Arena on Friday and Saturday night, during the day on Saturday, September 21st, a lineup of superstars in the making are performing during the Daytime Village at the iHeartRadio Music Festival including Juice WRLD, Maren Morris, Billie Eilish, Old Dominion, H.E.R., Zara Larsson, CNCO, Brett Young, FLETCHER, Monsta X, Bryce Vine and Lauv.
