Pearl Jam's 'River Cross' Is Featured In Ron Howard's New Documentary

Pearl Jam's "River Cross" is featured in National Geographic's new documentary, Rebuilding Paradise. On Monday (August 10), the band shared a trailer soundtracked by their Gigaton track via Instagram while urging fans to watch the Ron Howard-directed film, "which tells the inspiring story of a community coming together to help one another swim to shore."

Rebuilding Paradise follows the aftermath of the deadliest US fire in 100 years (worst in California history) that destroyed the town of Paradise in November 2018, killing 85 people, displacing 50,000 residents, and destroying 95% of local structures. The film is now playing in select cities, as well as virtual cinemas. Get more info about Rebuilding Paradise here and see Pearl Jam's post below.

Earlier this year, Eddie Vedder performed "River Cross" during the One World: Together at Home COVID-19 relief livestream. Pearl Jam has been actively giving to charity since the pandemic hit, participating in the All In Challenge, donating to local food banks in Washington, and performing at a COVID-19 relief concert to benefit Washington residents. Aside from helping raise money for those most affected by the coronavirus, the band also raised money for gun violence awareness and Vedder showed off his wakeboarding and baseball playing skills for the Trick Shot For ALS Challenge.
