Kamala Harris will make her way to Forth Worth on Friday, according to Democratic presidential nominee Joe Biden's campaign. In addition, she will make stops in Rio Grande Valley and Houston.
Fort Worth's Tarrant County was the most populous county that was won by Republican President Donald Trump in 2016. However, voters leaned toward Democrat Beto O'Rourke in 2018 in the U.S. Senate contest.
Houston's Harris County is the state's most populous county that has recently become more Democratic along with McAllen, a major city in the Valley.
Word about Harris' Texas visit got out on Friday, however there were no clear details about where she would be visiting within the state.
Her stops are expected to mirror events that she has recently done in other states to mobilize voters.
Kamala Harris will be the highest-profile visitor in the state so far on behalf of Biden's campaign.
Biden's wife, Jill Biden, and Harris's husband, Doug Emhoff, both have visited Texas in recent weeks.
In addition to Harris' visit, the Biden campaign is launching a surrogate bus tour on Wednesday that will last three days and hit 14 cities all across Texas, KSAT reports.
