What are we voting on in Texas?

Both in Texas and across the nation, voters are voting for candidates running for President. In Texas, voters will be electing the U.S, Senate, Texas Supreme Court, Texas Court of Criminal Appeals, and Texas Railroad Commissioner. Some voters will be voting on the U.S. house of Representatives, Texas State Board of Education, Texas Senate, and Texas House of Representatives.

Is there still straight-ticket voting?

Voters are no loner able to check one box to vote for one party's candidates in every partisan race. Straight-ticket voting was eliminated by House Bill 25.

Will the Texas National Guard be at polling locations?

According to Governor Greg Abbott, the report about him requesting National Guard resources at polling locations is not true. This was confirmed by Texas Military Department Press Secretary Brandon Jones.
