Arlington Police officers got a strange call form 911 dispatch this week, and things did not turn out the way they thought.
The dispatcher told the officers about an "unknown creature" that was seen walking around in a nearby apartment complex.
"I’m not sure what kind of animal it is, but it’s eight or nine feet tall. The callers say they’re not sure what the figure is. They say it’s the size of a gorilla and it’s blocking the entrance to a complex," the dispatcher said.
CBS DFW reports that the "five-legged creature" was seen walking in front of the Villas Apartments off of Arkansas Lane.
When police arrived to the scene, the creature turned out to be human.
A man in costume told police, "I did not mean to cause a disturbance."
He said he was wearing a Halloween costume and lives in the apartment complex.
One officer stated, "It's very unusual. Very unusual."
Another officer tool a picture with him. He told him to be careful and have a happy Halloween.
