TV Reporter Fired After "Assaulting" Several Classic Cars in Live Segment

TV Reported Fired After Assaulting Several Classic Cars in Live Segment A TV news reporter is out of a job after he climbed on several classic, high-priced cars during a live segment.

Angel Cardenas, a reporter with KMAX-TV's "Good Morning Sacramento," was covering the Sacramento International Auto Show on Sunday when told viewers the show's doors had not yet opened. He said, "No one is out here to tell me which car I can't go in, 'cause some of these are off-limits. So I'm just gonna live on the wild side." With that, he climbed onto a classic Ford Thunderbird before opening the driver's door of another T-Bird, slamming it into the vehicle next to it and leaving a dent.

He ended the segment by climbing onto the hood of a Ford Explorer. Although KMAX officials have not commented on the incident, the auto show's organizers on Tuesday posted a Facebook message in which they said Cardenas had been fired and station management had "expressed their sincerest apologies for the incident."
