Medical Examiner Confirms Chris Cornell Of Soundgarden Died By Suicide

The Wayne County Medical Examiner's Office has confirmed  Chris Cornell died of hanging by suicide. The 52 year old singer died  about an hour after leaving the stage in Detroit Wednesday night.  Cornell died by hanging himself at the MGM Grand Detroit Hotel where he was staying. His wife  had asked a friend to check on Cornell because he was not answering his  phone. The friend forced open Cornells hotel room door to find him dead  on the bathroom floor.

Friends and fans said after the show he took the time to talk to fans, take selfies with them and seemed upbeat. Chris ended the show with a cover of Led Zeppelin's " In My Time Of Dying." Was that a goodbye to friends, fans and family? Some questions will never be answered .
