IT'S HAPPENING! Led Zeppelin is officially releasing a documentary entitled "Becoming Led Zeppelin" and it's premiering NEXT MONTH at the Venice International Film Festival (September 1-11).
"Becoming Led Zeppelin" is 137 minutes long, and according to the director Bernard MacMahon, is set to 'feel like a musical'. The documentary will "weave together the four diverse stories of the band members before and after they formed their group with large sections of their story advanced using only music and imagery".
The film will include 70,000 frames of manually restored footage, original prints and negatives, rare footage of the band (like them playing at Laurel Pop Festival in 1969) AND even rare-er footage of interviews with the guys. Clearly this is every zepheads dream, and I will absolutely post a review as soon as I can.
